HOW TO REACH LAMPEDUSA

From Porto Empedocle you can take the ferry-boat of the SIREMAR for the Pelagie, there are the possibility to load also your car and you can reach Lampedusa in 8 hours. There is just one daily connection from Porto Empedocle (at 7km from Agrigento) to Lampedusa, via Linosa.

The outward journey is during the night; the boat leaves every night at midnight, except in case of bad weather or day of rest, and arrives in Lampedusa at 8.15 am, after a stop of 30/40 minutes in Linosa.

There is the possibility to book an overnight stay in the cabin. The return voyage is during the day; the boat leaves from Lampedusa every morning at 10.30 am and arrives in Porto Empedocle at 6.00 pm.

The connection with Linosa and Sicily is guaranteed, from July to September, also by the hydrofoil twice a day.

During the winter months, because of the strong winds and the choppy sea, the connection with Lampedusa is exclusively by the airport.

From Palermo and Catania there is a guaranteed air service during all the year. Moreover, from July to September there are direct flights from Trapani, Rome, Milan, Bergamo, Verona and Bologna.
